What is the difference between a double-walled stainless steel chimney and a single-walled one?

A double-walled stainless steel fireplace differs in several areas with a single-walled stainless steel chimney. There is a difference in use, fuel type, assembly and quality. The double-walled stainless steel chimney can handle higher temperatures, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. This makes the double-walled stainless steel chimney suitable for all common fuels. In addition, a double-walled stainless steel fireplace is extra insulating and retains less dirt. Because a single-walled stainless steel chimney is less resistant to extremely high temperatures, it can only be used in combustion chambers up to the throughput and outside use. This means that the single-walled stainless steel fireplace is only suitable for oil, gas and solid fuels. Be sure to contact Opsinox for further questions and clarifications.
